Présente un peu partout en Europe jusqu'en Afrique du Nord et en Turquie. Largement répandue en France, à l'exception des régions au climat trop rude. Son habitat est constitué par les bois, les forêts bien exposées, ainsi que les garrigues où sont bien représentés divers quercus dont les chenilles mangent les feuilles.pèriode de vol : MARS A JUIN

Present everywhere in Europe to North Africa and Turkey. Widespread in France, with the exception of regions where the climate too harsh.
